Church Laundry by E Lloyd Kelly, is an epic piece of poetryChurch Laundry by author and poet E Lloyd Kelly is an epic piece of poetry documenting the story of a people, a particular kind of people. The book is set to go public on amazon Kindle on Saturday the 8th of December but it is actually available now for pre-ordering. Church Laundry is a non-fiction story chronicling the life and times of the people which the author describes as the acutely over-churched boat peoples and other wind-rush generation types. The book is packed full of real life stories, anecdotes and a few pieces of standalone poetry thrown in here and there. The long knives are on the grindstone sharpening really sharp, because many within the church community who have been privy to the project are already up in harms and are very disgruntled. But the hope is, according to Kelly, the hope is that they would have seen the generous sprinkling of precious things scattered in between. The Church Laundry storyThe cleaning crew has been showing up in some churches of late, and they are finding quite a hefty load in the basket as well as elsewhere. The muck under the carpets required heavy duty lifting, at those churches where a particular kind of people have been worshipping, the dirty laundry has been piling up for too long a time and the washing crew is sparing no resources in attempting to clean up the mess. The wash day clothesline is growing longer and longer and is laden heavy under the load. Stretch out behind the church building too but not far enough out of sight of the scrutinizing eyes of curious passers-by, and parishioners alike. Parishioners are mad as well, at the whole debacle. Not to worry though, about that, or nottn else, I mean, anything else, you’ll find out real soon, no doubt. And if and when God finds out about this, she is going to be really upset no doubt. And some people are going to get what they are going to get. But you don't have to worry, yet. You have been good. You have behaved nicely, it's the naughty ones who are going to get what’s coming to them, not you and me, right? My people know a lot of things. They know me well too, they know that I don't know squat, they know that God didn't tell me to write that bunch of scrap, they know that god, our God even, god doesn't work like that. They now is about to know, that they didn't know, that I was going to go, and say these things, that god never did see coming, and now finds it so disappointing, and therefore I'm going to get what’s coming, coming to me, cause no sin goes without a beating. And we all know that she is going to be really fuming, when you are done with all this reading, and see everything that is stored up within, me. Surprise-surprise though, she really never did see this coming, not at all ConclusionGo right on now, all of you settled ones. Stroke your funny bones. Sing the swan song, again, and go take your rest, sleep in heavenly peace. Nothing hard for you, not even hard enough to hurt your feelings, and wake you up out of your slumbering, in the cradle up there on the treetop, Rock-a-bye baby rock, enjoy the tumbling too, don't worry none about the sudden stop.
Note: Although the story is true. Some aspects of it has been omitted or slightly altered in order to protect the innocent among other things. And this story as it is told in the book, it sure is not the entire scope of the story, just so far as is pertinent in making the case while not overly outing anybody or willfully embarrassing them. The names and characters depicted in this book are all fictitious and should not be construed as real nor are they associated with any actual names of persons living or dead.
